Talent Quest - Juniors

We recently held our school Talent Quest. There were some wonderful performances. Below are the Juniors who had entrants in all of the categories.

Vertex Climbing Gym

On Wednesday 18 September the Year 7 & 8 boys and girls classes went to Palmerston North.  At Te Manawa we explored maths using the Roamers and at the Vertex Gym we challenged ourselves with rock climbing.  Below are some photos of the boys at the Vertex Gym.

Rippa Rugby 2013

These photos are of the Huia Range Rippa Rugby Team, our Year 1 & 2 players. During this game they are playing Ruahine.

Midget Rugby 2013

These photos are of our Huia Range Midget team, our Year 3 & 4 players. They are playing in green for this game against Ruahine because we combine with St Joesphs

Senior Rugby 2013

These photos are of our Senior Rugby team. They combine with South School and St Joseph School to make up a team. They are playing Dannevirke Country.

Ice Skating

While in Wellington we went ice-skating. We were actually booked in to go roller blading, however the rain halted that and so we took the opportunity to go ice-skating. It was heaps of fun and even though there were many crashes everyone got back up and had another go.

Tuakana Cross-Country

Today we held the Tuakana Cross-Country. 

 Congratulations to Riley and Tama, Junior Girl and Boy Champs, Tiamana and Braydon, Intermediate Girl and Boy Champs and Mereohia and Adam, Senior Girl and Boy Champs.

Thanks to the Dannevirke A&P for allowing us to use the showgrounds for practice and today's event.

Wellington - Adrenalin Forest

Last Thursday the Year 7 & 8's did an overnight trip to Wellington. The first stop was Adrenalin Forest. Although the photos don't show the height of the task, the climbs ranged from a few meters off the ground to 31meters off the ground with the longest flying fox 100 metres long. Well done to you all!!! Most of you thought you were possums!!!

Thanks heaps to the staff at Adrenalin Forest. I am sure we will be returning customers!

School Swimming Sports

Below are some shots from our school swimming sports. From here Brittney, Stacy, Elijah, Sarah, Jayden & Jordan went on to the interschool swimming sport and performed very well.

Rock Climbing

In the second week of term 1 we were lucky enough to get the staff from Rock-Up visit our school.  They had been at the local A&P Show at the weekend and were heading to Palmerston North later in the week, so happily visited us inbetween. Rooms 2, 5, 8, 9, 11 & 12 got to climb their portable wall.
